In the selection process for digital displays and dot matrix LEDs, the real challenge engineers and procurement professionals face is often not “whose specs are higher,” but “whose solution helps the project avoid detours”—Can colors be sourced all at once? Is the drive architecture compatible with the existing circuit? Do different sizes require re-adjusting the production line?
These issues may seem trivial, but they directly affect BOM management efficiency, R&D adaptation cycles, and mass production yield.
It is precisely based on this observation of real-world needs that XINGLIGHT Electronics has launched its new digital display series. Built around multi-color segment displays, stepped dot matrix sizes, common cathode/common anode dual-drive architecture compatibility, through-hole multi-digit combinations, and SMD automation line adaptation, it forms a complete display device product matrix.
Its core value is not about achieving an extreme breakthrough in any single metric, but about helping customers reduce selection complexity, improve production line adaptation efficiency, and effectively shorten project launch cycles through systematic product planning.
1. XL-DC10 Segment Series: Six Colors with Unified Parameters, Easier BOM Management
Segment digital displays are widely used in home appliances, medical devices, and industrial control equipment, but different projects require different colors. The traditional approach means different colors correspond to different suppliers, different datasheets, and different electrical parameters, ultimately leading to scattered procurement and complicated material preparation.
Smart home appliance application scenarios
In contrast, the XL-DC10 series offers six colors—red, standard green, emerald green, blue, white, and yellow—all under a unified framework of 1-inch standard digit height and high-contrast black panel, all using common cathode drive.
Segment digital display (LIGHT BAR DISPLAY)
The practical value is reflected in two aspects:
Complete color range, meeting multi-project needs at once. Six colors cover mainstream application scenarios. Purchasers can complete multi-project selection within one model system, reducing cross-supplier communication costs. Stable mass production supply also facilitates volume pricing.
Unified electrical parameters, reusable drive circuit. Under 20 mA conditions, forward voltage and luminous intensity are highly consistent across the entire series. The same drive scheme adapts to different colors, reducing BOM item types and simplifying material preparation and inventory management.

2. Dot Matrix Series: Four Stepped Sizes, Common Cathode/Common Anode Dual Drive Options
Dot matrix digital displays are used for flexible display of numbers, letters, and custom symbols. Different devices have significantly different requirements for size and drive mode. XINGLIGHT simultaneously launches the XL-ADZ common cathode series and XL-BDZ common anode series, covering four sizes: 757, 788, 1088, and 1508.
The combined advantage lies in “no compromise”:
Stepped size coverage: Four sizes correspond to different installation space requirements—compact, medium, and long-distance viewing. Same series, same drive architecture, same luminous color—no cross-brand comparison needed.
Common cathode and common anode in parallel: Whether the existing drive circuit is common cathode or common anode, full-size matching products are available, with no need to sacrifice size or performance for drive architecture. The entire series has a typical luminous intensity of 720 mcd and maximum power dissipation of only 50 mW. Unified electrical parameters reduce R&D adaptation and material preparation complexity.
Applicable project directions: Please contact XINGLIGHT sales or refer to the product datasheet for detailed matching information.
3. SMD Digital Displays: 0.2/0.39-inch Dual Digit Heights, High-Density Solution for SMT Lines
Targeting the needs of automated SMT production lines, XINGLIGHT launches the XL-SA (common cathode) / XL-SB (common anode) SMD segment digital display series, offering two digit height specifications: 0.2 inch and 0.39 inch. Each specification covers 1 to 4 digits, totaling 16 standard models.
Under 20 mA test conditions, the SMD series has a typical forward voltage of 1.8–2.4 V, typical luminous intensity of 100 mcd, wavelength of 620 nm, and maximum power dissipation of 36 mW. Soldering conditions are suitable for reflow soldering: 245°C, ≤6 s; hand soldering <300°C, 3 s. Package thickness is only 3.0–3.7 mm, suitable for high-density PCB layouts.
Core Value
Ultra-small size and SMT compatibility: The 0.2-inch product is only 3.0 mm thick, compatible with standard SMT lines, with no need to adjust processes separately for SMD components.
Common cathode/common anode dual architecture: Shares the same electrical parameter design logic as the through-hole series. Purchasers can complete mixed selection of through-hole and SMD products within the same supplier system.
Low power design: Forward voltage 1.8–2.4 V, luminous intensity 100 mcd, reducing system power consumption while ensuring visibility.

Under 20 mA test conditions, the entire through-hole digital display series has a typical forward voltage of 2.0–2.6 V, typical luminous intensity of 20 mcd, wavelength of 620 nm, and maximum power dissipation of 36 mW. Soldering conditions are consistent: hand soldering temperature <250°C, time ≤3 s; wave soldering preheat 100°C (not exceeding 120°C, stable temperature rise), soldering temperature 235–245°C, time <3 s. Leads are standard 2.54 mm pitch through-hole package, compatible with conventional PCB layouts.
Core Value
Stepped coverage of digit count and size: From 0.28 inch to 1 inch, full-series selection can be completed within the same supplier system, with no cross-brand comparison needed.
Common cathode/common anode in parallel: Whether the existing drive circuit is common cathode or common anode, full-size matching products are available, with no need to sacrifice size or performance for drive architecture.
Unified packaging and process: The entire series uses potted solid-state encapsulation, offering good impact resistance and a lifespan of over 50,000 hours. Soldering parameters are highly compatible with mainstream production lines, requiring no additional equipment adjustment.
