The XL-IRM1838DS is a surface-mount infrared remote control receiver. It has a built-in high-speed, high-sensitivity PIN photodiode and a low-power, high-gain preamplifier IC. It comes in a epoxy resin half-sphere package and features both internal and external shielding to reduce interference. Its dimensions are 6.7×7.9×6.2mm (with 4.0mm pin length), and it outputs TTL/CMOS level signals, active low, with a carrier frequency of 37.9kHz (standard for universal remotes). With a wide operating voltage range (2.7~5.5V), low power consumption (typical working current 0.24mA), and long receiving distance (typically 15~17 meters), it's ideal for all kinds of infrared remote control applications.
