The XL-IRM1838CS is a surface-mount infrared remote control receiver. It comes with a high-speed, high-sensitivity PIN photodiode and a low-power, high-gain preamplifier IC built in. It's packaged in a hemispherical epoxy resin and features a dual internal and external shielding design to resist interference. Its dimensions are 5.8×7.6×3.9mm (with 4.0mm pin length), making it more compact than the XL-IRM1838DS. The output is TTL/CMOS level, active low, with a carrier center frequency of 37.9kHz, which is standard for universal remotes. It has a wide operating voltage range (2.7~5.5V), low power consumption (typical operating current 0.24mA), and a long reception distance (typically 15~17 meters). It’s suitable for various IR remote receiving scenarios, especially for compact designs where PCB space is limited.
