XL-C4040HIRC-850 is a 4040-packaged side-mounted horizontal 850nm infrared emitting diode, measuring 4.0×4.0×3.5mm with a transparent colloid. It has a power dissipation of 495mW, maximum continuous forward current of 60mA, peak pulse forward current of 90mA (pulse width≤0.1ms, duty cycle≤1/10), reverse voltage of 5V, and 2000V ESD protection. With a forward voltage of 1.3-1.7V (IF=60mA), peak wavelength of 850nm, 120° viewing angle, luminous intensity of 0.001-0.003LM (IF=60mA), and maximum reverse current of 5μA. Both operating and storage temperature ranges are -40~+85℃, with soldering requirement of 260℃≤6s. Ideal for medical equipment, infrared remote controls, camera monitors, industrial control, infrared photoelectric switches, etc.
