XL-ITR8402 is a through-beam photoelectric switch, composed of an infrared emitting diode and an NPN silicon phototransistor, which are packaged side by side on the converging optical axis in a black thermoplastic housing.
It has a cut-off visible wavelength of 940nm, uses lead-free materials, is RoHS compliant, and meets MSL Grade 2. The input terminal (emitter) has a power dissipation of 75mW, maximum continuous forward current of 50mA, peak pulse forward current of 1A, reverse voltage of 5V, and forward voltage varying with current (1.2-1.6V at IF=20mA, 1.4-1.85V at IF=100mA, 2.6-4.0V at IF=1A). The output terminal (detector) has a power dissipation of 75mW, collector-emitter voltage of 30V, emitter-collector voltage of 5V, maximum collector current of 10mA, photocurrent of 0.5-20mA (typical 10mA, IF=20mA, VCE=5V).
Ideal for slot machines, small home appliances, automatic sensors, fax machines, scanners, etc.
